FMIS to sponsor GovMoney 2019
FMIS to sponsor exciting new UK conference for public sector finance professionals.
Govmoney 2019 will draw 300+ senior leaders from across the public sector to explore the practices and products shaping the future of public sector finance in the UK. FMIS Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting solutions support public sector organisations across the UK and internationally. Increased pressure on public finances combined with disruptive new technologies and the introduction of accounting standards such as IFRS 16 are reshaping future of public sector finances.
GovMoney 2019 is about helping finance professionals to navigate the emerging technologies and groundbreaking analytical tools available to deliver smarter and more efficient public services. The event draws on the experience of industry leaders in both central and local government. Among the tools displayed at the conference will be FMIS solutions for the public sector.
UK public sector bodies using IFRS accounting standards have deferred adoption of the new IFRS 16 standard until April 2020 and the beginning of the new financial year. This includes central government bodies, local authorities and the NHS. Implementing IFRS 16 can require significant changes to asset valuations and the overall balance sheet. FMIS Lease Accounting software is compliant with IFRS 16 and allows public sector bodies to automate all the necessary calculations. Automation can save hours or days worth of effort every month while ensuring much greater accuracy and visibility of fixed assets.
For more information on ensuring you are compliant with the new standard, visit us at stand 16 or contact us at our UK offices.
